Ontario privacy czar to conduct probe on illegal juror checks

To ensure that jurors' privacy rights are protected, Ontario's privacy czar conducted a probe into the allegations that police forces have been doing secret and illegal background checks on certain jurors.
Privacy commissioner Ann Cavoukian announced this after a judge in Windsor learned about this police practice, which was deemed unethical and illegal.
