Obama supports surveillance law

Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama received a lot of negative calls from supporters when he changed his mind and signed up a national surveillance law giving immunity to telecommunication companies that have been used by the government to spy on suspected terrorists.

Groups have called this an act betraying the trust of his supporters, but Obama said that this is one of the critical decisions any potential President would have to make. It's the choice between national security and privacy.
