Although not yet official, Microsoft already announced that they will soon be releasing their very own free security program for PC.
Originally named as Morro, the program will now take the name Security Essentials to cover the general aspect the software will do. And as Microsoft said, it is an essential software your PC must have. Good thing about it is that its totally free.
Microsoft Security Essentials is still in Beta mode but it will not be long until it is released on full version.
"The final version of Microsoft Security Essentials will be released to the public in the coming weeks," Microsoft said in a press release.
There were close to 100,000 who participated in Microsoft's call to test the program and so far most of them agreed it's probably the best security software Microsoft has come up with.
Unlike other anti-virus, anti-malware programs, Microsoft Security Essentials do not bother the user when it wants to run a scan. It simply scans quietly and you will almost forget its there waiting to catch some suspicious files you stumble at while visiting websites or by downloading programs.
