Name of your website?

Total Surveillance

Your name?

B. Reid

Your Location (city, etc)

Tampa, FL

Please give us a short summary of your website?

TSI is a full service provider of advanced video surveillance systems, solutions and installation services. We offer Digital Video Recorders, Security Cameras, and accessories.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

There is a enormous need for Safety and Security, especially during current economic conditions. We can help home and business owners not only protect their property, but also show them how they can improve the business efficiency and save themselves money at the same time.

Video Surveillance is not just about security anymore.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

We launched in March 2008 and focus on providing security and security solutions. We provide information on products and capabilities of currently available systems.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We wanted something that conveyed our product offering. We provide systems for "Total Surveillance", hence the name.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We focus not only on product and service sales, but also on providing information to help consumers make informed decisions. Additionally, we believe the difference in our product offering is our ability to offer complete "solutions" for various customers and industries.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Our primary focus is currently to sell our products and services. In the future, we would like to position ourselves and industry experts and solution providers.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Right now, our major investment is time. The sales success has not matched the time and effort to this point, but recently we've started to see some improvement in sales do to sales & marketing efforts.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

With an unlimited budget, we could do more content development, e-commerce development, more online marketing.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Absolutely! That is the beauty of our business. Our arrangements with our suppliers allow us to carry very limited inventory. Increased demand would just increase sales exponentially.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Vendor relationships and product installation were our key issue initially. Find the right products at the right price and well as finding competent cost-effective technicians. Once we were able to do that,we started rolling.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Right now, our biggest challenge is marketing. Showing our customers that by investing in Video Surveillance, they can solve mutliple business issues as well as secure their property

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

SEO and online marketing through various avenues

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Much, much, much more work than we ever anticipated. The maintenance and constant updating of content make it a full-time job.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

We've had websites for a few years. Our current site has been online for almost a year. We will continue to run our site indefinitely.

How are you able to help your customers?

We encourage anyone with questions about how CCTV/Video Surveillance can help you or your business to visit us at www.totalsurveillanceinc.com or email us at sales@totalsurveillanceinc.com
