What inspired you to launch your own website?

We believed that our website would be an important marketing tool. Not a lot of people understand the benefits of window films, so a lot of explanation is required--our website gives us something to direct people to for more information as well as delivering relevant leads

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Last summer - Apex Window Films and Security Solutions

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It is the name of our business

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We provide information on the various types of window films and window and door protection hardware out there, there benefits and how clients can contact us.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We think it is very informative and easy to navigate

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Keep it, expand it and make it more beneficial to internet users.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

We could never have predicted how important our website would become, it is an important factor in bringing us new customers, the first step in our success; Of course our customer service, competitive pricing, and meticulous installations are the ultimate reason for our continued success in the industry, but the website helps inform and bring customers to our door.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Not sure

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

It wouldn't be a problem at all.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None that I can think of.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Making people aware of what it is we are selling, especially security films for windows--not many people know what they are or how effective they can be in preventing smash and grab break and enters.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

We started out with cost per click advertising but now most of our hits are from organic searches.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It has just been a lot more effective than we thought it could be.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

We've been up for over a year and will continue with the site as long as we choose to keep our business open!
